Programme Manager

Senior Programme Manager - Transformation (Contract) | £750-£850 per day | Inside IR35 | Immediate Start

We're supporting a major transformation programme and are looking for a very senior, delivery-focused Programme Manager to take ownership of shaping and driving a complex change initiative.

This programme spans two key work streams:

• known transformation - addressing clearly identified issues
• emerging transformation - with Business Analysts currently gathering requirements

The organisation already has strong Defence IT expertise in place. What's needed now is strategic programme leadership to turn insight into structured, executable delivery.

• Owning and structuring end-to-end transformation delivery
• Translating BA outputs into a clear, phased delivery roadmap
• Building robust business cases, plans, and governance frameworks
• Leading programme‑level planning across phasing, cost, and resourcing
• Aligning newly onboarded contractors into a coherent transformation plan
• Putting strong controls around timing, dependencies, and outcomes

• Proven experience leading large‑scale transformation programmes
• Strong background in programme governance, planning, and business case development
• Able to operate at both strategic and hands‑on delivery level
• Confident working with ambiguity and shaping delivery from early‑stage requirements
• Experience in complex or regulated environments (Defence / public sector a plus)

• Rate: £750‑£850 per day
• Contract: Initial 12 month engagement with extension likely
• Start: ASAP
• Level: Very senior / transformation-led
