TXM Recruit are working with a specialist commercial building services provider delivering refurbishment, fit-out, electrical, mechanical and facilities solutions for industrial, warehouse, retail and commercial environments with the onboarding of a new Procurement Manager.
The Procurement Manager is responsible for leading and managing the company’s procurement and supply chain activities across all projects and operational areas. The role ensures the efficient, cost-effective, and compliant sourcing of goods, services, and subcontracted support, while maintaining strong supplier relationships, driving commercial value, and ensuring alignment with internal governance, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
* Salary - Up to £55,000
* Location - Bedford Office
* 5 days in office or on Site Visits.
* 8am to 5pm
Duties and Responsibilities
* Developed and implemented procurement strategies to support business objectives and commercial performance.
* Managed supplier relationships, including brokers and direct suppliers, to secure best value and service.
* Negotiated supplier pricing, contracts, and commercial terms to reduce costs and minimise risk.
* Conducted spend analysis to identify savings and improve procurement efficiency.
* Supported estimating and operations teams with accurate, competitive project pricing.
* Monitored supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery, and compliance.
* Ensured procurement activities met ISMS, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and internal governance requirements.
* Managed supplier onboarding, compliance, and risk within the ISMS framework.
* Improved procurement processes through reporting, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Maintained accurate procurement records, reporting, and audit documentation.
* Built strong stakeholder relationships and promoted the use of preferred suppliers.
* Delivered measurable improvements in procurement spend, supplier performance, pricing accuracy, and compliance.
Skills and Experience
* Proven experience in procurement, supply chain or commercial roles within the commercial construction sector
