Depot Maintenance Technician

COMPANY OVERVIEWA leading UK-wide facilities management provider is looking for a Depot Maintenance Technician to join them in Bradford. The organisation delivers specialist technical services to major retail and commercial clients, supporting large-scale estates with planned and reactive maintenance solutions.

An opportunity has arisen for a Depot Maintenance Technician to join the depot, delivering maintenance and repairing a range of electrical and mechanical plant and equipment in the distribution centre.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Complete the PPM schedule within agreed KPI timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures.

To work flexibly within the cluster as required

Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as and where necessary.

Prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.

Order spares to the laid-down procedures.

Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Senior Maintenance Technician or Cluster Facilities Manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement.

Where plant and equipment is non-repairable, to make recommendations to the Senior Maintenance Technician or Cluster Facilities Manager regarding suitable replacement.

Advise the GM and distribution line managers of any repair and maintenance issues that are likely to affect the smooth running of the depot.

Essential

Experience:

C&G 2382 (18th edition)  
Level 3 core Electrical qualification, examples of which are: C&G2330, C&G 2365 (with relevant experience), C&G2365 etc.
3 phase electrics and its applications

Desirable

Experience:

Familiarity with completion of electrical certification  
City & Guilds 2391 Testing and Inspection
Time served in electrical discipline or have relevant industry experience in a similar role.
