Industrial Cleaning Operative

Salary: £12.71 per hour. Current role holders earn between £28,000 and £37,000 per annum OTE.

Hours:

40 hours per week, Monday – Friday 8:00am to 16:30. Overtime before and after shifts may be required to meet business needs.

Location:

Stewartby, Green Lane, MK43 9LY
. The role involves working away from home for extended periods. Flexibility is required for evenings, nights and weekends. Travel locally to the main depot will also be necessary.

• Cover the Midlands and South of England, working across various sites in confined spaces.
• Undertake different types of cleaning duties, including high‑pressure water jetting.
• Work in confined spaces for both long and short periods depending on the type of work.
• Prep surfaces before performing high‑pressure jetting cleaning.
• Deal with various hazardous and non‑hazardous chemicals.
• Clean ERF sites during shutdowns, which can last up to six weeks.
• Work away at short notice depending on business needs.

• Essential: Must be prepared to work away from home for extended periods and handle flexible hours, evenings, nights and weekends.
• Must be prepared to travel locally to the main depot.
• Good understanding of health & safety.
• Full driving licence.
• Desirable: Training can be provided.
• Proven background in industrial cleaning activities.
• City & Guilds High‑Risk Confined Space training.
• City & Guilds High‑Pressure Water Jetting training (Surface Preparation, tubes & bundles, drain cleaning modules).
• CCNSG (Safety Passport).

• Additional hours worked during the week or Saturdays paid time and a half.
• Sundays and bank holidays paid double time.
