Maintenance Technician / Mechanic

A leading UK-wide facilities management provider is looking for a Depot Maintenance Technician to join them in Bradford. The organisation delivers specialist technical services to major retail and commercial clients, supporting large-scale estates with planned and reactive maintenance solutions.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES- Complete the PPM schedule within agreed KPI timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid‑down procedures.
- To work flexibly within the cluster as required.
- Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as and where necessary.
- Prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.
- Order spares to the laid‑down procedures.
- Identify non‑repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Senior Maintenance Technician or Cluster Facilities Manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement.
- Where plant and equipment is non‑repairable, to make recommendations to the Senior Maintenance Technician or Cluster Facilities Manager regarding suitable replacement.
- Advise the GM and distribution line managers of any repair and maintenance issues that are likely to affect the smooth running of the depot.
- C&G 2382 (18th edition)
- Level 3 core Electrical qualification, examples of which are: C&G2330, C&G 2365 (with relevant experience), C&G2365 etc.
- 3 phase electrics and its applications
- Familiarity with completion of electrical certification
- City & Guilds 2391 Testing and Inspection
- Time served in electrical discipline or have relevant industry experience in a similar role.
