Commercial Manager - Highways

You will be working in the Infrastructure OU based in Bedfordshire in where we are responsible for bringingdesign, build and refurbishment excellence to complex civil engineering projects nationwide – combining technical expertise with a passion for creating lasting value for people and places.

We are currently looking for a Commercial Manager - Highways who will perform commercial management or specialist commercial duties as part of a project team.

• Ensure the scope, notices, terms and conditions of the project are implemented.
• Lead and develop the contract procedures, payments and variations together with contact entitlements.
• Fully administrate head contract so Skanska can obtain all of their entitlements and limit contractual risk.
• Ensure the cost plan/estimate and base data is received and integrated into commercial forecasting and reporting procedures.
• Lead and develop the strategy for the contracted works and the procurement procedures for the package scope, quantification, tender method, negotiation and subcontract documentation.

• Detailed working knowledge of contract/commercial law
• Experience of working at a commercial capacity within senior management teams
• MRICS / MCInstCES qualified highly desirable/degree educated in a relevant subject.
• Previous experience working on major infrastructure contracts desirable.
• NEC Contract Experience - Specifically NEC 4 Option C Target Cost
