As Registered Manager you will be responsible for leadership, operational management and safeguarding oversight of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and full compliance with Ofsted and Children's Homes Regulations. You will lead and inspire the staff team while ensuring the home remains a safe, nurturing and stable environment where children feel supported, heard and valued.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strong leadership and direction to the residential care team
- Oversee the day‑to‑day management of the children's home
- Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards
- Promote a trauma‑informed, child‑centred culture
- Lead safeguarding practices and ensure children's welfare is prioritised
- Manage staffing, rotas, recruitment and staff development
- Supervise and support staff through regular supervisions and training
- Manage budgets, resources and operational planning
- Build strong relationships with families, professionals and external agencies
- Drive continuous improvement and maintain high standards of care
We are looking for an experienced Registered Manager or a strong Deputy Manager ready to step up who is passionate about improving the lives of children in residential care.
- Experience with in children's residential care services
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes Standards
- Experience supporting children with learning disabilities, autism, trauma or complex needs
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and child‑centred practice
- The Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
