Surface Mount Solderer

Are you skilled in soldering and passionate about producing high-quality work? Join our friendly and professional Auto Assembly team, where precision and teamwork come together to deliver excellence. Were looking for a detail-oriented individual with experience in electronic assembly, soldering to IPC Class 3 standards. This individual will be working as part of a team in Auto assembly and mainly responsible for re-working a combination of SMT and through hole components.

Main Duties:
Rework SMT and PTH components using a variety of equipment and techniques such as hot air pencil and back heaters Interacting with automatic inspection systems such as AOI/X-ray Follow detailed assembly instructions and build standards to ensure accuracy and consistency. Complete traceability paperwork including batch records, build reports, and logs. Maintain soldering tools and equipment, including microscopes and soldering irons.

Ensure compliance with IPC 610 standards, ESD requirements, and Health & Safety guidelines. Collaborate with team members to meet weekly production targets. Attend team meetings and contribute ideas to improve processes and efficiency. Work flexibly and proactively to support production and quality goals. Person Specification Minimum 12 months experience in soldering electronic printed circuit boards; IPC 610 or J-STD. Preferably with SMT or PTH rework experience.

Experience of working with a microscope due to size of componentry. Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Good understanding of English, both verbal and written. Professional attitude with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, quality databases).
