About the role

Activate Learning is recruiting a Digital Marketing Assistant to join our Group Marketing and Communications team. The role supports the Digital Marketing Executive, Digital Marketing Manager, and wider marketing department, encompassing updating website content, researching keywords, supporting creation of paid advertising (Pay Per Click) campaigns, email content, and finance administration for the Marketing team.

This is a varied and practical role, ideal for someone at the early stages of their marketing career who is keen to gain experience across multiple disciplines, including digital marketing, website content creation, PPC research, and A/B testing.

It offers the opportunity to build a strong foundation in digital marketing within a large, collaborative team and to progress your career as Activate Learning continues to grow.

This is a permanent, full-time role (37 hours per week) and can be based at any of our Oxfordshire, Berkshire or Surrey campuses, with travel required to other colleges as needed.

Key responsibilities
  • Update website content
  • Research keywords
  • Support creation of paid advertising (Pay Per Click) campaigns
  • Support creation of email content
  • Finance administration of the Marketing team
  • Provide additional capacity during busy recruitment and campaign periods
Key qualifications
  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above (or equivalent)
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Effective time management across multiple projects
  • Proactive, organised and enthusiastic with a genuine interest in marketing and communications
  • Strong attention to detail and good communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
  • Experience updating website content, using Word Press or CMS/HTML, and PPC/SEO optimisation (desirable)
  • Experience in the education sector (desirable)
