Clinical Deputy Manager

Overview

We are looking for a Clinical Deputy Manager to support the Home Manager and Quality Assurance team at Elstow Manor, a luxury care home offering residential, dementia, and nursing care for older people. The role involves ensuring effective and safe clinical practice, auditing standards, reviewing policies, and providing reports.

• Uphold Hamberley Care Homes values and lead care teams.
• Provide leadership, support, and supervision for clinical and care staff.
• Assume on‑call duties as required by the Home Manager.
• Design, deliver, and evaluate written and verbal training modules and workshops to improve care delivery.
• Offer feedback to the Home Manager on staff improvement areas.
• Assist with assessments of potential residents and liaise with commissioners and stakeholders.
• Lead clinical review meetings and ensure effective and safe clinical practice is maintained.
• Conduct investigations and respond to complaints or concerns.

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN and demonstrable post‑registration experience.
• Managing or mentoring experience.
• Previous experience as a Senior Nurse, staff nurse, or registered nurse in a care home environment (desirable).
• People‑management skills.
• Organised, committed approach to work.
• Confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
