Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
Provide quality engineering leadership and support across the business, acting as the primary quality representative for nominated customers. Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory requirements a quality management system requirement while driving continuous improvement, problem solving and customer satisfaction.
Main Duties- Provide technical guidance and support on quality and process requirements across the business.
- Ensure customer quality requirements are accurately incorporated into products, processes and documentation.
- Generate, review and approve customer and internal quality documentation, including AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports.
- Lead investigations into non-conforming products, customer complaints and quality issues, ensuring effective corrective and preventative actions are implemented.
- Review and approve product release documentation in line with customer requirements.
- Support customer, supplier and third-party quality audits.
- Analyse quality data and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Mentor and support Quality Engineers and Quality Inspectors, promoting best practice across the business.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives to reduce defects, improves process capability and extend customer satisfaction.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and support New Product Introduction activities.
- Deputise for the Quality Manager when required.
- Previous experience in a Quality Engineering role within an electronic manufacturing environment (Desirable)
- Experience working to AS9100 and/or ISO
9001 standards - Knowledge of AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements
- Experience in root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and customer relationship skills
- Ability to lead quality improvement activities and support cross-functional teams
- High attention to detail with pro-active approach to continuous improvement
