• Reporting to the Regional Manager you will lead by example, creating an excellent culture and working environment for your team, demonstrating our values of being:

• Full responsibility for all aspects of running a successful store, managing KPIs around people, store standards, customer service and financial performance, maximising turnover and gross margin while controlling costs.
• Ensuring you and your team deliver the highest standards of pet care, with the welfare of pets a top priority and promoting responsible pet ownership.
• Exceptional customer service by providing a great shopping experience for customers and displaying strong pet and product knowledge. (Training given)
• Recruiting, motivating, training and developing your team, reviewing and managing performance, and helping promote Jollyes as an employer of choice within the local community.
• Ensuring clear communication of key business updates and individual and team objectives.

• A passion for pets and people – delighting customers with an unrivalled shopping experience.
• Previous retail store management experience, with a hands‑on approach to daily business management and planning activity for short, medium and long term success.
• A sound decision maker who can communicate objectives effectively and build high‑performing, highly engaged teams, ensuring succession plans develop future leaders.
• A proven track record in developing business performance and exceeding KPIs, while delivering the highest levels of store standards including health & safety and legal compliance.
• Commercial awareness and proactive P&L management.
• Availability to travel to the store outside of hours and to provide cover in other regional stores; own transport and a UK driving licence required.
• Full‑time, permanent position – 40 hours per week, five days out of seven.
