Retail Shopping Centre Security Officer

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Retail Security Officer to join Kingdom Group, working at a shopping centre site in Bedford, MK40 area. We are seeking a proactive and vigilant Security & Safety Officer to ensure the safety and security of our shoppers, tenants, and staff. The ideal candidate will prevent incidents of theft, vandalism, and anti-social behaviour, while coordinating timely responses to emergencies and maintaining a safe environment at all times.

On average, 40 hours per week, covering a range of shifts between 06:00am- 00:30am

£13.19 per hour.

• Maintain the safety and security of shoppers, tenants, staff, and property.
• Prevent and respond to theft, vandalism, and anti-social behaviour.
• Conduct daily security patrols, both internal and external.
• Perform opening and closing security checks.
• Respond to emergencies, including fire, medical, or evacuation situations.
• Follow incident reporting procedures and maintain accurate records of accidents and incidents.
• Liaise with police, emergency services, and other relevant authorities as required.
• Conduct fire safety inspections and participate in fire drills.

• A valid SIA licence or applied for.
• A full five year checkable employment history.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• An ability to work as part of a team.
• An enthusiastic, self-motivated and flexible approach.
• IT skills
