Security Officer - Nights

Overview

CIS Security have an exciting opportunity available for a Security Officer based in Bedford in a warehouse and distribution setting, who will be an ambassador to represent CIS Security and deliver high quality guarding and customer service to both our customers and service users.

  Days & Nights - 4 on 4 off

• SIA Licence required
• Security experience is required of a minimum of 1 year
• Must have good command of English language
• Good levels of customer service, communication both written & verbal
• Must be flexible and be able to work; days, nights, weekends and have the flexibility to change shifts due to operational needs
• Flexible in the approach to daily duties and additional events when held on site
• Maintains working knowledge of the locations & security & safety for assigned areas
• First Aid qualification & a CCTV SIA Licence is a bonus
• To have a smart appearance befitting the company
• Be confident you can undertake 100% of all specific duties
• Be able to provide all the documentation and vetting information requested

• Able to demonstrate and deliver high quality guarding and customer service to both our clients and service users.
• Able to work in a team as well as on your own and can be pro-active and think on your feet use initiative
• Be calm under pressure and confident in dealing with confrontational situations in a calm and professional manner
• Physically fit to complete patrols internally and externally and able to stand/walk during shift
• Confident in writing incident and shift reports
• The ability to be pro-active and think on your feet use initiative
• To always portray a friendly, professional and courteous demeanour, using open and appropriate body language.
• To ensure that all visitors and staff are dealt with efficiently, providing an exceptional customer service ensuring that their expectations are met, if not exceeded.
• The role includes you to conduct opening & closing procedures of a building, patrolling, reception duties, access control, answering incoming telephone calls, Conducting emergency procedures. You will be part of a team seeing this site through from refurbishment to business as usual and must be comfortable working on a construction site moving into an office environment.
