Position: Fire Alarm Service Engineer (Site-Based) (Permanent, Part Time)
Site-Based Fire Alarm Service Engineer – Bedford

V7 are currently recruiting for an experienced Site-Based Fire Alarm Service Engineer to join a leading national fire and security organisation at a critical site in Bedford. Role & Responsibilities:

Carry out planned preventative maintenance on fire alarm and associated life safety systems
Perform fault-finding, diagnostics and reactive repairs
Complete testing to BS5839 standards
Work closely with site facilities and security teams
Maintain accurate records, service reports and certification
Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety requirements
Provide technical support and advice to site personnel

Experience

Required:

Proven experience servicing fire alarm systems (site-based or mobile)
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Good understanding of BS5839
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Excellent communication and customer-facing skills

Qualifications:

FIA units preferred but not essential
Electrical or Fire & Security qualifications beneficial
Full right to work in the UK

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday (standard day shifts)
