Class 2 HGV Driver — Bedford (MK42)
Base salary: £37,637 per annum
Regional Allowance: £3,000 per annum
Meal allowance: £1,035 per annum
Annual earnings: £41,672 + overtime

We’re recruiting for a Class 2 Driver to join the team at our Bedford site. The vehicles you will be driving are 4-axle 32t rigid trucks (POD, Auger Tipper and Mixer) with automatic gearboxes.
This is a great opportunity to become a pivotal part of Marshalls Mortars and Screeds to deliver one of the UK’s leading products and provide a first-class service to our customers.
Responsibilities- Be the first point of face-to-face contact for customers, delivering mortar to building sites in the local area with a positive, can-do attitude and excellent customer service skills.
- Operate multi-compartment Pod and Mixer vehicles; maintain and clean vehicles daily.
- Be the face of Marshalls Mortars and Screeds and uphold a professional company image.
- Put the customer at the heart of everything you do; stay calm and professional when challenges arise.
- Maintain a high level of health and safety compliance and adhere to specific customer requirements.
- Punctuality and willingness to start early to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Flexibility in working hours during the day and ability to work alternative Saturdays due to growth and industry requirements.
- Current Class 2 HGV licence with no restrictions and a maximum of 3 points on the licence
- Current Driver CPC card
- Experience operating Mixer or Pod trucks is advantageous; full training provided
- Excellent English communication and writing skills
- Set shift patterns (two Saturdays per month) + overtime
