Transport Planner

Overview

TRANSPORT PLANNER, £29,000. Initial Office Base, Remote once Established

We are seeking a Transport Planner to join our friendly team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and planning transportation activities to ensure efficient delivery of goods and services.

Experience Needed: 1 years minimum in a logistics administrator role.

• Allocation of work to couriers in a fair and transparent manner.
• Taking bookings accurately and advising clients of our services.
• Implementing and maintaining Service Level Agreements.
• Proactively keeping clients and fellow employees informed of any delays or issues.
• Ensure your fleet size is sufficient to service your clients particularly during peak periods - maintain levels and recruit drivers when required.
• Monitoring of jobs through to POD and completion.
• Ensure drivers achieve maximum revenue.
• Seek backloads for drivers. Responsible for particular accounts.
• The key skills we need you to have for the role include:
  Managing and exceeding customer expectations.
• Ability to communicate clearly with clients, couriers and suppliers and always remain professional.
• Be highly organised.
• Previous controlling experience.
• Good geographical knowledge.
• Excellent punctuality and attendance.
• Previous transport industry experience.
• Acting on your own initiative without constant supervision.
• Computer literate. Excellent punctuality and attendance.

Hours will be between 8am & 5pm Monday to Friday.
