Salary £35,000 - £45,000

My client is a family run general haulage business, priding themselves on the service they provide to customers and placing an enormous amount of emphasis on working as a team, drivers, and office staff alike. They are now looking for someone to join the transport team, assisting with the planning and routing of the vehicles.

Relevant transport planning experience is not essential; however specialist haulage experience would be advantageous. We are focused on finding the right person with the right attitude and personality.

• Planning and coordinating specialist haulage movements across the UK
• Managing routes, schedules, and driver planning
• Liaising with drivers, customers, suppliers, and site contacts
• Adapting quickly to last‑minute changes and operational demands
• Monitoring deliveries and ensuring jobs are completed efficiently
• Supporting the transport team with day‑to‑day operations

• Excellent geographical knowledge
• Sociable and confident communicator
• Strong listening skills
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure
• Adaptable and able to react quickly to changes
• Organised with good attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Family firm experience preferable
• Specialist haulage experience advantageous

• £35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience
• 21 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays
