Class 1 Weekend Driver – Bedford (MK43)

Ongoing Temporary (Year‑round stability)

Earnings:
From £22.41 up to £49.61 per hour

• Chilled and frozen loads, mostly stored in cages but some cases may be pallets.
• 1‑3 store deliveries, to supermarkets or petrol station stores.
• Flexible to operate Class 1 and Class 2 vehicles (paid at Class 1 rate).
• Conduct thorough vehicle checks and maintain accurate digital tachograph records.
• Drive according to client professional standards, with coaching and training provided.
• Manage Working Time Directive and Driving Hours rules and regulations to meet compliance expectations.
• Act as a professional face of the brand when arriving at stores.

• Saturday & Sunday.
• Available start time windows: 13:00‑17:00, 18:00‑22:00, 23:00‑03:00.
• Minimum one weekend day availability is required.

• Automatic pay rises at 12 and 27 weeks.
• Double pay on bank holidays (up to £49.61 per hour).

Pay rates vary by shift time and week. For example, day rates range from £19.05 to £32.73 per hour, back rates from £20.45 to £31.18 per hour, and night rates from £22.41 to £31.59 per hour, with regular increases every 12 and 27 weeks.

• Valid UK driver cards (licence, CPC and DIGI cards).
• Minimum 6 months Class 1 licence and 6 months Class 1 driving experience.
• Previous experience in store deliveries preferred but not essential.
• Maximum 6 penalty points accepted for minor offences (no DR or DD offences).
• Availability to work weekends is essential for a 24/7 operation.
• Excellent customer‑service and communication skills with attention to detail.
