48 hours per week, working predominantly Monday to Friday, with flexibility to work any 5 days in a 7‑day period.

Reporting to the Transport Shift Manager, the Driver’s Mate plays a key part in ensuring efficient and safe transport operations.

• Supporting the driver and warehouse teams in loading/unloading of stock
• Supporting the driver with the most efficient traffic routes to help both get to each location and back home quickly and safely
• Building brilliant working relationships with customers and other departments
• Holding health and safety at the forefront of all processes

• Prior experience as a driver’s mate, drayman or within a warehouse desirable but not required
• Customer service skills
• Manual handling experience and/or training desirable; full training will be provided during induction
• Knowledge of the local region
