FLT and Waste Operative

Salary: £14.18 / hour

Hours:

8.5 hours / day Shift Pattern: 07:30 am to 04:00 pm, 4 on / 3 off

Contract:

Fixed Term. In your new role as an FLT Driver, you'll be working within a warehouse environment as part of our cleaning and waste team and undertake the operation of Forklift Truck driving within a health and safety conscious environment. Your duties will include loading and unloading pallet trailers, loading cardboard and plastic bales onto trailers, and sorting, moving and stacking pallets.

Ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and is in safe working order, perform miscellaneous cleaning duties and provide support to the waste team, whilst wearing PPE and complying with health and safety legislation.

• Counter Balance license.
• 3 months forklift operative experience is preferred.
• Communicative English is essential; may be required to take an English language assessment.
• Good organisational skills, detail conscious, work from own initiative.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Must be able to complete appropriate documentation and fall into the required shift pattern.
• Required to complete Basic Disclosure (DBS Check) and undertake a drug and alcohol screening test.
