42 hours guaranteed, with overtime paid after 42 hours at £23.46 per hour.
Day shift Class 1 – Monday to Friday, circa 10–11 am start available.
About the RoleAs a Whistl HGV Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods on pre‑planned, designated routes. We operate a collection and injection-to-carrier model, giving you a more structured and predictable day. You will represent the Whistl brand, delivering exceptional service with every journey and ensuring our customers’ goods arrive on time and in perfect condition.
Responsibilities- Operate and maintain HGV vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Ensure the timely and secure delivery of goods to designated locations.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and promptly.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety issues.
- 42 guaranteed hours per week.
- Weekend working allowance: up to £200/month for weekend shifts as part of your contractual schedule.
- 6th Shift incentive: additional shift paid at 1.75× your basic rate.
- Night shift allowance: 15% extra pay for hours worked between 10 pm and 6 am.

- A valid Class 1 (Cat C+E) licence and CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification (the cost of renewals during employment will be covered by Whistl).
- Digital tachograph card.
- Excellent driving record with no major violations or accidents and a strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
- Ability to handle physical demands.
- Good communication skills to quickly understand instructions and liaise effectively with colleagues and customers.
