A2z Driving Services Ltd is recruiting for a well-established transportation company, providing reliable and efficient services to our clients across the UK. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced HGV 1 General Haulier to join our team on a full-time, basis.

As an HGV 1 Tramper, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to our customers. Your main duties will include loading and unloading goods, performing vehicle checks, and adhering to all road safety regulations. You will also be required to maintain accurate records of deliveries and report any issues or delays to the transport manager.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a valid HGV 1 license and a minimum of 1 years of experience in a similar position. You must have a strong understanding of road safety regulations and be able to handle goods with care. Excellent communication and time-management skills are also essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

- Safely and efficiently transport goods to designated locations

- Perform vehicle checks before and after each journey

- Load and unload goods in a timely and safe manner

- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies

- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and report any issues or delays

- Communicate effectively with the transport manager and customers

- Keep the vehicle clean and in good working condition

- Follow all health and safety procedures at all times

Requirements:

- Valid HGV 1 license

- Minimum of 1 years of experience as an HGV driver

- Strong understanding of road safety regulations

- Ability to handle goods with care

- Excellent communication and time-management skills

- Flexibility to work varying shifts and weekends

- Clean driving record and no criminal convictions

- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and basic repairs is a plus
