Warehouse Operative

Our client based in Bedford are currently looking for a warehouse operative who can also drive as some drop offs locally will be required. This is a day shift working 8.00am to 5.00pm (Monday to Thursday) 8.00am to 4.00pm Friday.

The daily duties of this position include:

* Loading and unloading equipment from 3.5 tonne box vans

* Identifying equipment that has potential for a second life

* Asseting customer loads

* Processing IT equipment to both customer requirements and company standards

* Destroying hard drives and data tapes using a mobile crushing unit and shredder

* Preparing and palleting equipment ready for resale or recycling

* Maintaining a clean working environment

* Dismantling and processing of electronic equipment

* Assisting with collections from customer sites

To be suitable for this position the successful candidate will:

* Understand the importance of customer service

* Have the ability to work within a team and unsupervised

* Have good communication skills

* Maintain a high attention to detail

* Have a strong work ethic and general understanding of health & safety within the workplace

* Have an interest in IT equipment, full training will be given in all aspects of the role

* Have a clean UK driving licence (or currently learning to drive)
