Stores & Logistics Operative (Temp to Perm)

Hours:

Monday to Thursday, 8:30am - 4:30pm | Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm (36.5 hours per week)

Pay: £13.50 to £14.50 per hour (DOE) Plus regular paid overtime

Temp to Perm Opportunity

We’re looking for an organised and dependable Stores & Logistics Operative to join our client on a temp-to-perm basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to become a permanent member of a well‑established business with a small, close‑knit team and excellent staff retention. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with systems, maintaining accurate inventory and ensuring goods move efficiently through the business.

While there is a hands‑on element, the position has a strong focus on stock control, inventory accuracy and logistics operations.

Duties
  • Receiving and booking stock into the inventory system
  • Checking deliveries against purchase orders
  • Maintaining accurate stock records and inventory levels
  • Organising stock within the warehouse
  • Completing monthly stock takes and investigating discrepancies
  • Picking, packing and dispatching customer orders
  • Booking courier collections and preparing shipping documentation
  • Issuing stock to the workshop and processing returned items
  • Producing simple inventory reports
  • Maintaining a safe, tidy and organised stores environment
What we'd like from you
  • Previous experience in stores, inventory, warehouse or logistics
  • Strong IT skills and confidence using stock control systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Organised and methodical approach to work
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership
  • Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
