Our client, based in Bedlington, is seeking an experienced Buyer to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual with strong purchasing experience to contribute to a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment.

• Support the Buyer and Supply Chain team in day‑to‑day purchasing activities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost‑effective delivery of goods and services.
• Assist with order placement, tracking, and expediting to meet production and operational requirements.
• Monitor stock levels, lead times, and supplier performance to identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met efficiently.

• Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Strong customer‑focused approach with excellent communication, organisation, and planning skills.
• Able to work under pressure and take initiative in a busy purchasing environment.
• Previous experience in a fast‑paced purchasing or procurement function.
• Effective expediting skills and experience dealing with customers and suppliers at all levels.
