Our client, based in Bedlington, is seeking an experienced Buyer to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual with strong purchasing experience to contribute to a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment.
BuyerRoles and Responsibilities
- Support the Buyer and Supply Chain team in day‑to‑day purchasing activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost‑effective delivery of goods and services.
- Assist with order placement, tracking, and expediting to meet production and operational requirements.
- Monitor stock levels, lead times, and supplier performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met efficiently.
- Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Strong customer‑focused approach with excellent communication, organisation, and planning skills.
- Able to work under pressure and take initiative in a busy purchasing environment.
- Previous experience in a fast‑paced purchasing or procurement function.
- Effective expediting skills and experience dealing with customers and suppliers at all levels.
