Our client, based in Bedlington, is seeking an experienced Buyer to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual with strong purchasing experience to contribute to a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Buyer

Roles and Responsibilities:

* Support the Buyer and Supply Chain team in day-to-day purchasing activities.

* Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.

* Assist with order placement, tracking, and expediting to meet production and operational requirements.

* Monitor stock levels, lead times, and supplier performance to identify areas for improvement.

* Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met efficiently

Buyer Ideal Candidate:

* Have direct buying experience

* Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.

* Strong customer-focused approach with excellent communication, organisation, and planning skills.

* Able to work under pressure and take initiative in a busy purchasing environment.

* Previous experience in a fast-paced purchasing or procurement function.

* Effective expediting skills and experience dealing with customers and suppliers at all levels

Working Hours:

* Monday – Thursday, 08:00 – 16:30

* Friday, 08:00 – 13:00
