Job Responsibilities:
NPI Execution:
Execute product transfers and the launch of New Product Introductions (NPI) from customers.
DFM:
Conduct Design for Manufacturability (DFM) analysis on customer products to improve product manufacturability.
Process Development:
Design and establish product manufacturing processes.
System Setup:
Create and maintain the Bill of Materials (BOM) and production routings in the ERP/MES system.
Tooling:
Liaise with tooling vendors to design and fabricate the necessary tooling or fixtures to manufacture products.
Documentation:
Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI) for the production team.
Training:
Train production staff and operators on new manufacturing processes, tools, and equipment.
Standards Compliance:
Ensure all manufacturing processes and equipment operations strictly comply with IPC standards and internal quality protocols.
Process Monitoring:
Constantly monitor process yields, ensuring they meet company KPIs.
Technical Problem Solving:
Act as the technical lead to resolve production bottlenecks and complex process issues in real-time.
Line Balancing:
Conduct time studies and line balancing to optimize cycle time and improve labor efficiency.
Continuous Improvement:
Improve product manufacturing process yields per company quality KPIs.
ECO/ECN:
Conduct and implement engineering changes to customer products.
Customer Presentations:
Conduct product performance presentations to customers.
Safety Compliance:
Ensure all manufacturing processes and floor operations comply with company Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) guidelines.
Mentorship:
Support the development of engineering assistants through technical knowledge sharing.
General Support:
Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Manufacturing Engineer.
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in process engineering is preferred.
- Certification or formal training in IPC standards or Lean Six Sigma preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of PCBA and TLA manufacturing processes is preferred.
- Familiarity with box build operations.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the tenacity to overcome operational constraints.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with other departments.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
