Basketball Coach

Come join the team at HCI Sports & Fitness. Located in Bee Cave, we are seeking Basketball Clinic and League Coaches. Lead Coach and Assistant Coach opportunities are available for those who enjoy coaching youth basketball, clinics, and leagues.

• Leading or assisting during youth basketball clinics, leagues, or camps
• Responsive communication and collaboration to promote and improve HCI Basketball
• Collaborating on planning sessions
• Greeting and welcoming participants, parents, and guests
• Ensuring sessions are high energy, fun, safe, and organized to create a positive experience
• Helping with organizing, setting up, and cleaning up before and after programs
• Participating in staff meetings
• And more

• At least two years of coaching experience in a recreational basketball environment (required for Lead Coach; preferred for Assistant Coach)
• Enthusiastic, energetic, and positive personality
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Experience working with children, especially ages 3-10
• Knowledge of basketball, basic rules, and teaching terminology
• Excellent verbal, nonverbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to listen and respond to children and adults in person and electronically
• Strong work ethic, including punctuality, organization, and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
• College degree preferred but not required
• Ability to attend sessions on weekday evenings (thursdays as early as 4:15 pm) and Saturdays (morning through early afternoon)
