Part-Time Community Education and Workforce Development Instructor
ASU-Beebe is seeking part-time instructors to teach Community Education courses for the Beebe, Searcy, and Heber Springs campuses during the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 semesters. These are short classes for personal enrichment and enjoyment, covering a wide array of hobbies, skills, special interests, and hands-on skills or activities. Courses may be a one-time introductory class or a series of classes taught in the evenings or on Saturdays.
Pay will be determined depending on course type and the number of students. To determine if your hobby or interest would make a good Community Education class, please contact the Coordinator of Workforce Training, Cheri Miller at cjmiller1 before applying.
Instructors should be both proficient in their abilities and comfortable demonstrating their skills and projects with participants. Instructors should also be able to adapt their content to basic and intermediate skill levels. Advanced levels will be taught separately.
Minimum Salary Or Salary RangePay will be determined depending on the course type and the number of students.
Background CheckThis position will be subject to a pre-employment criminal, sex-offender registry background check. In cases where pre-determined, an additional financial/credit history/ background check may be required as well. Convictions that have been sealed or legally eradicated and misdemeanor convictions for which probation was completed and the case was dismissed, will be excluded. Disclosure does not constitute an automatic bar to employment.
Factors such as dates of the offense, seriousness and nature of the violation, rehabilitation and position applied for will be taken into account.
