Part-Time Health Information Technology Instructor

Overview

ASU-Beebe is seeking an adjunct Part‑Time Health Information Technology Instructor. The successful candidate will provide consistent, quality instruction in Health Information Technology courses, which may be taught on any ASU Beebe campus, with night and Saturday classes possible, and could include face‑to‑face, Zoom, internet‑assisted, and online instruction. Instructors may be asked to teach up to nine (9) credit hours per semester.

• Create and deliver engaging, technology‑based instruction in Health Information Technology that meets curriculum objectives.
• Assess student learning and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date course records and meet departmental deadlines.
• Collaborate with colleagues and stay current with developments in health information technology.

• Associate’s (or higher) degree in a related field and at least two (2) years of related, non‑teaching work experience.
• Advanced knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, disease processes, surgical procedures, medical office procedures, and Microsoft Office Suite software.
• Strong computer and technology skills.
• Ability to inspire, motivate, and empower students to succeed.

• Previous teaching experience.
• RHIA, RHIT, CCS, and/or CCSP credentials.
• Current member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).

$650 per credit hour
