The Biology department is seeking (1) Federal Work Study student at 10 hours per week for the Fall 2025 & Spring 2026 terms.

Duties include:

clean, organize, and restock lab materials (hand soap, paper towels, and gloves), as well as refill stains, clean counter tops, and mop floors. Help set-up and take-down labs.

Completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is required. Must be dependable and responsible. Be able to work around cleaning and laboratory chemicals. Prefer prep room knowledge (use of scales, preparation of media, label bacteria, and wash test tubes). Be available several days per week to assist in lab.

$11.00 per hour

This position will be subject to a pre-employment criminal, sex-offender registry background check. In cases where pre-determined, an additional financial/credit history/ background check may be required as well. Convictions that have been sealed or legally eradicated and misdemeanor convictions for which probation was completed and the case was dismissed, will be excluded. Disclosure does not constitute an automatic bar to employment.

Factors such as dates of the offense, seriousness and nature of the violation, rehabilitation and position applied for will be taken into account.
