Description
Cross Road Engineers, PC is looking to expand its team. We are looking for a Graduate Civil Engineer to assist in construction inspection and developing designs, drawings and specifications as they pertain to our projects.
Graduate Civil Engineer Responsibilities and Duties- Works with our construction administration team to manage construction projects. Each graduate engineer will typically complete a minimum of 2 initial, consecutive construction seasons working in the field in a construction inspection role before transitioning to a full- time design role.
- Civil design in roadway, grading, drainage, utility and site development projects.
- Determines project costs by calculating labor, material, and related costs.
- Creates feasibility study by analyzing engineering design, conducting environmental impact studies, and assembling data.
- Produces engineering documents by developing construction specifications, plans, and schedules.
- Confirms adherence to construction specifications and safety standards by monitoring project progress, inspecting construction site, and verifying calculations and placements.
- Gain knowledge of local and state design standards and procedures.
- Possess strong professional work ethic
- Work independently or within a design team
- Build excellent communication skills with project team, government agencies and clients
- Possess positive attitude and strong leadership skills
- Utilize time efficiently in completing tasks accurately, on schedule and within budget
- Gain experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Micro Station software and MS office software
Minimum Qualifications
- Degree
Required:
B.S. Civil Engineering - Experience in Construction Inspection OR Design of Civil Engineering Projects (0-3 years)
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Micro Station and similar engineering software recommended
