Food Service Worker; Part Time

About the Role

Chartwells K12 is hiring part‑time FOOD SERVICE WORKER positions at Beech Grove City Schools (5330 Hornet Avenue, Beech Grove, IN 46107). Applications are accepted online only.

Prepares, presents and serves food as needed.

• Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
• Carry pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
• Store food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Clean work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Utilize approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
• Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Assure compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Part‑time schedule: 8:30 am – 3:00 pm. Days may vary; further details upon interview.

Fixed pay rate: $15.45 per hour. Internal employee referral bonus available.

• Previous food service or cashier experience preferred.
