An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative, enthusiastic and forward-thinking Whole School Learning Technology Coach to join a leading British international school in Beijing, China.
The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing teaching and learning through the purposeful integration of digital technology across the whole school. Working closely with teachers, curriculum leaders, school leadership and students, the Learning Technology Coach will support the effective use of educational technology to improve student engagement, personalise learning, promote collaboration and enhance learning outcomes.
This is a whole-school role spanning primary and secondary education, requiring a strong understanding of pedagogy, digital learning and professional development. The successful candidate will empower teachers to use technology confidently and creatively, ensuring that digital tools support excellent teaching practice rather than becoming an end in themselves.
The ideal candidate will be an inspiring educator who enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues, modelling innovative practice and helping to develop a forward-thinking digital learning culture within a British international school environment.
Position Requirements

work experience Essential Requirements
- A degree in Education, Educational Technology, Computing, Digital Learning or a related discipline.
- A recognised teaching qualification, such as PGCE, QTS or an equivalent qualification.
- Substantial experience as a classroom teacher, with a strong understanding of effective teaching and learning across relevant age groups.
- Demonstrable experience integrating digital technology into classroom practice to enhance learning outcomes.
- Experience coaching, mentoring or supporting colleagues in the development of their teaching practice.
- Strong knowledge of educational technology tools, digital learning platforms and technology-enhanced pedagogy.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships and influence colleagues through collaboration, modelling and professional support.
- A reflective, solution-focused approach and a commitment to continuous professional learning.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Experience working in a British curriculum or international school environment.
- Experience supporting both primary and secondary teachers in a whole-school capacity.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in educational technology, digital learning or instructional coaching.
- Experience with learning management systems, collaborative platforms and digital assessment tools.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace for Education, Microsoft 365 Education, Apple education technologies or comparable digital ecosystems.
- Experience supporting the effective and responsible use of generative AI in education.
- Knowledge of digital safeguarding, online safety, data protection and accessibility in educational settings.
- Experience designing and delivering professional development programmes for teachers.
- Evidence of successfully leading or contributing to a whole-school digital learning initiative.
