This position is pivotal in overseeing the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and performance optimization of multiple solar farms across various locations. - Oversee the operation and maintenance (O&M) of a portfolio of solar farms to ensure optimal performance and energy yield.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for maximizing solar farm efficiency and asset longevity.
- Manage remote teams of site supervisors, technicians, and O&M contractors.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and conduct regular performance reviews of solar assets.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, environmental standards, and contractual obligations.
- Develop and manage operational budgets, including forecasting and cost control measures.
- Coordinate with grid operators, utility companies, and other stakeholders regarding interconnection and performance.
- Lead incident response and troubleshooting efforts for operational issues, ensuring rapid resolution.
- Implement predictive maintenance programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay updated on emerging solar technologies and best practices in operations management.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or relevant field), or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management, with at least 5 years specifically in the solar energy industry.
- Proven experience managing distributed teams and remote work forces.
- Strong understanding of solar PV technology, inverters, monitoring systems, and grid interconnection.
- Demonstrated ability in financial management, budgeting, and contract negotiation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using O&M management software and data analysis tools.
