Project Engineer, Test Engineer
This role involves executing engineering work for Fire & Gas Detection System (FGDS) from the planning, design, and implementation stages in the field. You will work flexibly between office and project site activities as needed.
Key responsibilities
Execute engineering work for FGDS systems from planning, design, to field implementation
Create and review engineering documents including drawings, technical specifications, calculations, and project supporting documents
Coordinate with engineering teams, project teams, vendors, and customers to ensure work meets technical standards
Support installation, testing, and commissioning of FGDS systems at project locations
Perform troubleshooting, technical analysis, and problem resolution during work processes
Support inspection, functional testing, and system verification before handover to customer
Create work progress reports and project technical documentation
About you
Minimum S1 degree in Physics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or Control Systems Engineering
Minimum 5 years of experience in similar work as Project Engineer, Engineering Engineer, or Commissioning Engineer
Experience in engineering, installation, testing, and commissioning of systems
Understanding of engineering project processes from document review, installation support, testing to commissioning
Willing to work at office and field/project sites
Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving capabilities
Able to create technical reports and work documentation
Preferred:
Certificate from FGDS or Fire & Gas System manufacturer/principal
Preferred:
Experience handling Fire & Gas Detection System, Safety Instrumented System (SIS), Industrial Automation, Oil & Gas, or Process Industry projects
Preferred:
Experience in FGDS device commissioning and troubleshooting
