About the role
PT Fumira, a leading company in the manufacturing, transportation and logistics industry, is seeking an experienced Export & Import Manager to join their team in Bekasi, West Java. As a full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's import and export activities, ensuring seamless operations and regulatory compliance.
What you’ll be doing- Develop and implement effective strategies to streamline the import and export processes, maximising efficiency and minimising costs
- Manage the coordination of all import and export activities, including documentation, transportation, and customs clearance
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing import and export operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as procurement and logistics, to optimise supply chain performance
- Analyse data and generate reports to identify areas for improvement and inform strategic decision-making
- Stay up-to-date with changes in trade policies, regulations, and industry trends to proactively adapt the company's import and export processes
- Lead and mentor a team of import/export specialists, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing, transportation, or logistics industry
- Thorough understanding of import and export regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements
- Proven track record of successfully managing import and export operations, including optimising processes and ensuring compliance
- Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations and find innovative solutions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to use relevant software and tools
- Adaptable and proactive, with a keen interest in staying informed about industry trends and regulations
