The Dining Services Worker supports the College's Globe Cafe, Joppa Hall Cafe, TUNE Cafe, APGFCU Arena concessions, and College catering as needed. Tasks include preparing food upon request, acting as cashier when required, and performing other related duties.
As a condition of employment, this position requires participation in a Maryland State Retirement System plan.
Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia; non-residents are expected to relocate to meet this requirement.
Required EducationHigh school diploma or GED.
Required ExperienceOne year food service experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to operate point of sale system, handle cash and credit card transactions
- Cashier experience
- Serve Safe or Food Handler and/or Sanitation Certification
- Food service preparation experience

General Weekly Work ScheduleDaytime hours range between 7 am and 5 pm Monday through Friday. Schedule also includes evening and weekend hours based on event schedules. September to December; and February to May. Work schedules may vary based upon the needs of the college.
