Job Summary

River View Construction is looking for a skilled Construction Craftsman. In this role, a Construction Craftsman would be a skilled professional responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the construction, maintenance, and repair of structures. This can encompass a broad range of trades and require expertise in multiple disciplines like carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, and masonry.

Construction craftsmen perform diverse tasks based on their specialization and project needs. These include interpreting blueprints, selecting and installing materials like wood and metal. They also operate tools, prepare sites, erect scaffolding, and handle concrete. Depending on their trade, they may install plumbing, electrical systems, paint, lay flooring, or install drywall. Adhering to safety regulations and maintaining tools are essential. Collaboration with other professionals, clear communication, ensuring quality, and troubleshooting are also key aspects of the role.

• Education and Training: A high school diploma or GED is typically required. Formal training, certifications, and completing an apprenticeship program in a relevant trade are highly recommended. Courses in blueprint reading, math, and shopping are also beneficial.
