Responsible for distribution of medication per physician orders to residents and participants. Performs delegated activities—including activities of daily living and basic nursing care procedures—for those we serve. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary team, presenting oneself in a manner that promotes high levels of satisfaction.

• Deliver nursing care which includes administering medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician, consistent with ministry policies and procedures.
• Order medications from pharmacy per ministry policy.
• Provide support with activities of daily living as assigned in a safe manner, consistent with ministry policies and procedures.
• Document tasks completed per ministry policy.
• Assure resident safety by identifying safety hazards and emergency situations and initiating corrective action as appropriate.
• Contribute to continuity of care by effectively communicating services provided and changes in the resident’s condition or family interactions in a timely manner.
• Comply with ministry infection control policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Access all areas of the ministry throughout the work day.
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, 25 lbs frequently, and 7 lbs constantly.
• Assist in lifting or transferring objects over 25 lbs with another qualified employee.
• Occasionally lift or move up to 25 lbs above the head.
• Push/pull items (e.g., wheelchairs or beds) requiring up to 75 lbs of force.
• Assist in maneuvering residents/patients weighing 100‑400 lbs and occasionally those over 400 lbs.
• Maintain constant hand grasp and finger dexterity; frequent standing, walking, pushing, and repetitive leg and arm movements, with occasional bending, reaching forward and overhead, crouching, and kneeling.
• Occasionally sit in a stationary position; tolerate standing and walking for up to 8 hours at a time on hard and soft surfaces.
• Communicate verbally and in written form; detect and discern loud and soft sounds, voices, and phone calls.
• Use vision (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception) to complete daily tasks.
• Detect unusual odors that could indicate environmental issues.

• Category I exposure; use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) required for every employee engaging in Category I tasks.
• Frequently exposed to blood, body fluids, fumes, airborne particles, and sharp objects potentially contaminated with blood borne pathogens or other infectious agents.
• Noise level is usually moderate.
• Work performed in an indoor, well‑lit, well‑ventilated, heated, and air‑conditioned environment.
• Subject to frequent interruptions by staff, residents, visitors, and volunteers; occasionally to hostile or emotionally upset residents, family members, staff, and visitors.
