Medical Assistant - Urgent Care Overview
Presbyterian is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients in an Outpatient Clinic. Common responsibilities include preparing the patient for the visit, maintaining efficient patient flow, assisting the provider with treatments and procedures, medication administration, support for clerical functions to include scheduling, referrals, authorization and in-basket support with the EMR.

The position is working in Belen and Las Estancias Urgent Care.
Schedule:
- Belen Urgent Care:
Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM - Las Estancias Urgent Care:
Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM;
Saturday and Sunday 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Successful completion of Presbyterian MA Advanced Skills Training within 12 months of hire.
- BLS required at time of hire.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Responsible for performing medical assistant procedures after completion of competency within organization’s MA scope of work, under the supervision of a provider and PHS policy.
- Assists with procedures as determined by provider.
- Participates with care team to meet patient care and clinic needs, working cooperatively with others to accomplish required work in a timely and efficient manner.
- Perform other duties as required.

CompensationMaximum offer for this position is up to USD $23.76/Hr.
The compensation range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors, including but not limited to experience and training, internal equity, and other business and organizational needs.
