Moss’s Solar Safety Manager supports the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team in developing, implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving Moss Solar’s EHS programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements within an assigned project. This position will achieve that goal by leading a project site.
EssentialJob Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead EHS functions on a project site.
- Provide direction and oversight to the project EHS team.
- Prioritize, delegate, and complete multiple tasks.
- Support the maintenance and implementation of EHS programs, compliance plans, and initiatives on assigned site.
- Lead by influence and strategic partnership with project and construction teams on assigned site.
- Keep safety credentials current.
- Evaluate environmental health and safety related risks.
- Apply record‑keeping principles and practices.
- Assess potential EHS‑related risks.
- Work independently and with a team with attention to detail and organisational abilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Associate’s or BS in Occupational Health and Safety (preferred) or greater than 5 years of leadership experience in a related field.
- Knowledge of DOT/DOL/EPA regulation and OSHA/industrial safety compliance as they relate to the power generation industry.
- Professional safety certifications such as STS, CHST/OHST, ASP, CSP, or other recognized credentials.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including tact and diplomacy.
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
- Effective organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to safely drive a company vehicle.
- Proficiency in standard office software programs, including spreadsheets, databases, word processing, etc.
