Responsibilities- Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgery or other medical procedures.
- Monitor and adjust anesthesia levels during procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Evaluate patients' medical history to determine the most suitable anesthesia plan.
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Manage and treat any complications that may arise during anesthesia administration.
- Stay updated on advancements in anesthesiology practices and technologies.
- Document patient information, anesthesia plans, and post-operative outcomes accurately.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant medical and safety regulations.
- Medical degree with specialization in Anesthesiology.
- Valid medical license to practice as an Anesthesiologist.
- Strong knowledge of anesthesia techniques, medications, and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical environment.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Schedule:
7a-3:30p
Call Requirement:
Weekdays (7a-4p, every third night) and weekends (24-hour, 1:4 rotation)
3 anesthesia sites
Daily Volume: 14-16 surgical cases
Patient Population:
Ages 3-100+
Case Types:
General surgery, orthopedics, endoscopy, ENT, podiatry, ophthalmology, and urology
Procedures:
Minor nerve blocks, plexus anesthesia, epidural anesthesia, spinal anesthesia, regional anesthesia, and arterial lines
Will work independently
EMR:
Epic
Must be board-certified
