Sign‑On Bonus

For a limited time Maine Health is offering a $3,000 sign‑on bonus for Patient Service Representatives (PSRs).

Eligibility:
Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time PSR position. Bonus amount prorated for part‑time hires; per diem hires are ineligible. Current Maine Health member employees are ineligible; former Maine Health members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

This is a 40‑hour per week position.

Position Overview

Waldo Hospital’s new Ophthalmology Practice is offering an exciting opportunity for a Patient Service Representative (PSR) to join our organization! We are looking for candidates with strong communication and administrative skills, a positive attitude, and a proven track record of reliability to support this busy and growing practice and contribute to the team. This individual will often be the first person a patient sees at a visit and will greet patients in a friendly and courteous manner, answer telephones, schedule appointments, and perform other general office duties assigned.

The PSR will also collect, verify, enter, and monitor patient data while complying with federal, state, and Maine Health confidentiality policies. This individual should be a quick learner, have excellent computer skills, and be able to learn to navigate the EHR.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education:

    High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • License/

    Certifications:

    N/A
  • Experience:

    Six months of medical office experience required.
  • Additional Skills/Requirements

    Required:

    N/A
  • Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred:
    Proficient computer skills.
