Penobscot Shores, Maine's premier retirement community is seeking a full time Maintenance Technician to join their team.

The ideal candidate has experience with basic carpentry, plumbing, appliance installation, and landscaping. This is a great opportunity for a motivated self-starter to work at a beautiful location.

Summary

This position consists of 40 hours per week.

Evening and weekend on call rotation once every three weeks.

The Maintenance Technician - Long Term Care role provides support by maintaining buildings, equipment and grounds in good repair and/or appearance. Provides resident transportation as scheduled.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education:

    Vocational Education with one year of experience in carpentry and/or building trades related to rough or finish carpentry preferred.
  • License/

    Certifications:

    Valid Driver's License required.
  • Experience:

    Experience in building construction and renovation including, but not limited to, carpentry, painting, drywall and groundskeeping required.
  • Additional Skills/Requirements

    Required:

    N/A
  • Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred:
    Knowledge of heating, ventilating, air-conditioning and refrigeration. Knowledge in electronic equipment.
