The Audit Senior OpportunityYou’ll join a thriving audit department of around 50 professionals, structured for development and clear upward mobility. The firm invests heavily in its people and is even exploring future restructuring to create a more specialised split between audit and accounts/advisory - meaning even more defined progression routes for strong auditors.
The Client BaseYou’ll work with an impressive and varied portfolio of OMBs and SMEs (£10m-£50m turnover) across:
- Media & Entertainment
- Retail
- Manufacturing
- Property
- Funds & Investment
- Hospitality
- Recruitment
- Legal firms
- Charities
You’ll also gain exposure to Far East and Eastern European client groups, enabling you to work on tailored, bespoke assignments with international flair. Frameworks include FRS 102, FRS 102 1A and IFRS.
What You’ll Be DoingAs an Audit Senior, you will:
- Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion
- Supervise and mentor juniors and trainees
- Conduct analytical reviews & identify audit issues
- Prepare statutory accounts and supporting tax computations
- Manage budgets, deadlines and file preparation for review
- Communicate directly with clients, resolving queries and offering commercial recommendations
- Apply a thorough audit methodology (Caseware experience highly beneficial)
We’re looking for:
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or finalist with strong experience)
- Proven external audit background within UK practice
- Strong technical knowledge (accounting standards, auditing standards, VAT, CT, P11
Ds) - Experience with consolidations
- Confident supervising staff and delegating work
- Comfortable with audit software such as Caseware, Alphatax or CCH
- Someone energetic, driven, and eager to keep climbing
- Top 20 firm with a strong market reputation
- Extremely sociable culture with regular events and team activities
