The Role Working alongside Managers, Associates and Directors, you'll manage a varied portfolio of clients while supporting the wider Accounts team.
Responsibilities will include:
Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders Preparing corporation tax computations and returns Producing management accounts and financial reports Preparing and submitting VAT returns using cloud accounting software Supporting clients with bookkeeping and digital accounting solutions Assisting on audit assignments where required Building strong relationships with clients and acting as a trusted adviser Reviewing work prepared by junior team members Mentoring and supporting trainees and junior colleagues Identifying tax planning and business advisory opportunities Working closely with senior leadership to deliver an exceptional client experience This is a broad role combining accounts preparation, advisory work, cloud accounting and client relationship management.
The Candidate The successful candidate will ideally have: ACA, ACCA or AAT qualified (or studying towards qualification) Experience gained within UK accountancy practice Strong knowledge of statutory accounts preparation Experience preparing corporation tax and VAT returns Good working knowledge of cloud accounting software such as Xero Excellent communication and client-facing skills Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members A proactive approach with a genuine interest in helping clients succeed What's On Offer Hybrid and flexible working arrangements 33 days holiday including bank holidays Pension with salary sacrifice option Ongoing learning and development opportunities Employee referral bonus Health and wellbeing support Electric car scheme Cycle to Work scheme Regular social events Professional development and career progression Modern, collaborative working environment
