This is an outstanding opportunity to join a small, high-performing finance team where you'll work closely with an experienced Financial Controller, gaining exposure to both operational finance and strategic group reporting. The Role Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include:
Leading the month-end close process, including accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations. Preparing accurate monthly management accounts with meaningful variance analysis. Producing detailed analysis of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), inventory and operating expenses. Monitoring daily cash flow and supporting weekly and rolling budgets and forecasts. Assisting with year-end accounts preparation and external audit processes. Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes and reporting.
About You The successful candidate will have: ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (part-qualified candidates with strong industry experience will also be considered). Previous experience in a management accounting or finance analyst role within an industrial or manufacturing environment. A sound understanding of UK VAT, payroll and general financial accounting. Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP. The ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work. A proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset. The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines during busy reporting periods. What's on Offer? Salary of £45,000 £ 55,000, negotiable depending on experience.
