Audit Senior / Assistant Manager - Belfast (Hybrid)

MCS Group are looking for a Audit Senior / Assistant Manager to join a well established and highly regarded accountancy practice based in Belfast.

The Company:

Our client is a well-established Belfast accountancy practice offering Audit, Accounts, Corporate Finance, Tax and Payroll services to a diverse client base across NI, ROI and the US.

Having recently joined a global accountancy network, the firm is entering an exciting period of growth, with increased cross-border collaboration, new clients and opportunities. They are now looking to add a Audit Senior / Assistant Manager to the team.

The Role:

As the successful Audit Senior / Assistant Manager you will be responsible for the following:

• Lead end-to-end audit engagements across a diverse client base
• Plan audits, assess risks and ensure compliance with relevant standards
• Prepare audit files, financial statements and supporting documentation
• Supervise, coach and review junior team members
• Build strong client relationships and act as a key point of contact
• Support team planning, workflow and process improvements
• Get involved in advisory work, due diligence, internal controls and technical accounting projects

The Person:

The successful Audit Senior / Assistant Manager will meet the following criteria:

• ACA/ACCA qualified
• Will consider strong Part-Qualified or QBE candidates
• Will consider more senior candidates at Manager/Senior Manager level and above
• Strong knowledge of auditing standards & financial reporting - FRS 102/IFRS
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
• Experience with audit software such as My Work Papers , Mercia or similar
• Strong Excel, Word and wider IT skills
• Detail-focused, organised and confident working across multiple engagements
